Spring Flower / Plant Highlight -- Rabbit's Foot Willow

Rabbit's foot willow, also known as pussy willow, are symbolic of springtime and their resilience to withstand difficult situations, (such as harsh winters). They thrive in full sun, wet & well draining soil, and can grow as tall as 9 -- 15 ft. They are typically planted in the fall, and begin to really thrive around this time of year, showing off large catkins and long flexible branches. Not only are they great decoration, beautiful and unique signs of a new season, but they can also be used to create fences and barriers for yards and garden spaces.

Maggie grows a number of willow varieties at her home / farm in Madison, OH. What started as a few willow cuttings has turned into rows and rows of mesmerizing willow branches. To be able to walk through and see their unique colors, textures, and different forms is amazing!
